The 12-month rise of the national index has been supported by Eastern Canada In January the Teranet-National Bank National Composite House Price Index TM edged up 0.1% from the previous month, a so-so showing for a month of January. In only three of the last 10 years (including last year) has the January change been lower.

Rich in history, Hoggs Hollow, Toronto was originally named after James Hogg. Arriving in 1824 to Toronto from Scotland, he operated the most successful whisky distillery and grist mill in the valley. The estate was subdivided in 1856 and four of the original Hogg’s Hollow houses are still standing (albeit with extensive renovations).
