HOGGS HOLLOW TORONTO Nestled between Yonge Street and York Mills Road and ending where the Rosedale Golf Club sits, Hoggs Hollow, Toronto is a beautiful and vibrant neighbourhood waiting for you to explore! Rich in history, Hoggs Hollow, Toronto was originally named after James Hogg. Arriving in 1824 to Toronto from Scotland, he operated the most successful whisky distillery and grist mill in the valley. The estate was subdivided in 1856 and four of the original Hogg’s Hollow houses are still standing (albeit with extensive renovations). Two of the original houses were relocated and now serve as the entrance to Auberge du Pommier restaurant. The other two original properties can be found at 1 and 5 Old Yonge Street. The majority of the homes in the neighbourhood were built from the 1920s through to the 1960s. When you visit Hoggs Hollow, you will feel like you are travelling through time.
